Alzner feeling it tonight. Had a few plays where he went deep into the offensive zone. In one play, he was behind the Crunch net and when they got the puck out of their zone, Alzner was actually the first one back.

McCarron vs. Gaunce. Both players got some good shots in.

Evans from behind the net sets up Alain beautifully in front of the net. No goal. Brook then gets to the loose puck first, makes a nice deke, wraps around the net, but loses control of the puck a little and Wedgewood was able to freeze the puck.

Barber cancels the PP. Gets called for hooking, as he was beaten in a foot race to a loose puck by Conacher.

Syracuse then masterfully keeps possession of the puck for nearly a minute straight, letting the penalty on their own player expire so they get more time on the PP.

Pretty good game so far, but I'll give the edge to Syracuse in the first period. Lindgren was very sharp.

Evans is waking up, 6 pts now in his last 6 games counting tonight. Last year especially in the 1st half he was very streaky/inconsistent so we'll see if it's more of the same or the healthy scratch was the wake up call he needed.

Can the Habs take Folin back, he's played 4 periods and is already a -3. I understand he hasn't played much this year but these NHL guys should be helping us.

I liked that shot from McCarron from the high slot, he got a lot on that wrist shot, their goalie had to make a good save on it. He's been heating up a bit too so we need to get him where he was at last year.

I know it's AHL refs but they missed a few calls against the Crunch.

Nice set up by Weise for Poehling in front of the net. But it was a bouncing puck, so Poehling didn't get a good shot off. It went way over the net.
