It's a shame the AHL doesn't track TOI as I would bet that Brook either had a career high in TOI or damn close to it.

Laval outshot 31 to 21 but Primeau came up big once again. Kotka gets 2 pts and Brook had one of his better games of the season.
Laval now 1 pt out of the playoffs, though the Crunch have a game in hand now.

Evans' empty net goal got him going earlier in the season.
Now Kotkaniemi is already going. But the empty net goal may just help him get into a goal scoring groove. He's hit a few posts a couple of times.

Seeing KK start to "get" pro hockey the last few games really makes me wonder wtf people think when they say development doesn't actually exist.
He's doing a lot of little details that he wasn't doing. Then, you hear how in the NHL they don't have time to teach you this stuff (which is true and understandable, it's not a development league) and how the AHL coach can spend an hour and half dedicated to him.. Jesus it's not a f***ing coincidence.
This team needs to get it's head out of its ass and let Bouchard do the job he was hired to, which clearly he does competently. Stop rushing all of these f***ing players. I'm just pissed at this shit, clown organization.

also keep this in mind, Laval's active leading scorer as of going into the game and still is Alain with 23 pts.

Another player that should be praised is Olofsson. Since Ouellet and Alzner were both brought up to Montreal, he's assumed that top pair role and he's playing his best hockey since they traded for him.

Completely agree. The interesting part is that most of the prospects we have high hopes for will start making their way to Bouchard over the next few years.

Yo-yoing them isn't any better. They need stability unless they're really tearing it up.

I think a lot of us are just tired of seeing the same damn obvious mistakes being repeated every year. Every around Bergevin even talks about how dumb prospect management has been. Heck, Gord Miller goes out of his way to mention it every week. Every team and broadcaster seems to understand it but him. Even management people within the org talks about it.
That's the problem when you hire an ape. You get shit all over the office.

You can really see the difference attitude wise since Barber, Peca and Varone left. For whatever reason, what was supposed to be the vet core never worked and they were dragging the whole team down.
