I only watched the third period as I had something that made me miss the first two periods. But from what I saw, Juulsen looked a lot more comfortable tonight than he did last night.

Leskinen hasn't been too noticeable after a good start, Poehling had another solid game. Poehling's clearly getting there after struggling the first few games.

Both of them are slowly getting better as the season goes. Brook, as well. All of them are playing more complete games. They're still works in progress.

But if I compare this year's crop of rookies (Poehling, Brook, Primeau, and Leskinen) in Laval to last year's (Evans, Vejdemo, Fleury, and Alain) at this point of the season, this year's kids are more advanced in terms of progress and improvement.

Last year's crop took longer before they started to "get it."
