what's carrying this team so far this season has been the special teams which have been outstanding. #1 PK in the league, #5 PP in the league. But once again they fail to score more then 2 goals, which has happened in all but 2 games this year.

Notice Marcotte's lack of his usual exclamations when they score a goal. That's because they were on commercial break on 91.9 Sports FM when Ouellet tied it up at 2 on the PP.

Varone with the sweet moves for the shootout winner.

Did you watch the game?

If so, how was Juulsen?

How about Leskinen? and Poehling?

Both of them are slowly getting better as the season goes. Brook, as well. All of them are playing more complete games. They're still works in progress.

But if I compare this year's crop of rookies (Poehling, Brook, Primeau, and Leskinen) in Laval to last year's (Evans, Vejdemo, Fleury, and Alain) at this point of the season, this year's kids are more advanced in terms of progress and improvement.

Last year's crop took longer before they started to "get it."

I hope those 4 (Poehling, Brook, Primeau, and Leskinen) along with Juulsen are a big part of our future in Montreal. That's a lot of young talent in Laval.
