Rochester with good pressure. Lindgren dove to freeze a puck, but there was traffic and the puck went loose to a Rochester player, who had an open net. But McEneny with a great defensive play, holding up the player and taking the puck away to safety.

Very good penalty kill by Laval. However, as soon as the Cox penalty expired, Waked gets called for a high stick. Back to the PK.

Another great kill by Laval. Didn't give Rochester anything in those four minutes of back-to-back PPs.

Great counter attack by Laval, who almost scored on the play. Despite that, Laval is heading back to the PP as they drew a penalty.

Rochester makes it 2-1 shorthanded with 2 seconds left on their penalty.

They go on a 2-on-1 counter attack. They shoot, hit the post, the puck comes back out to the Rochester player, who had the net wide open.

Laval with good shifts by the Evans and Vejdemo lines back-to-back.

2-1 for Rochester after one period. Pretty good period for Laval, considering all of the key elements of their line-up being out.

This is one of the few games where the ice is not that good. The puck was bouncing all around.

Those people can focus on the big club. There is a number of folks here who care about Laval. Some watch them closely. Other still enjoy coming on here to get updates on it.

Still 2-1 half way through the 2nd period. Shots 11-10 for Rochester. We have good hustle but the lack of offensive talent (due to injury/call-up) really shows.
