Whatever. We just need a couple of prospects to be effective this year. That's pretty much it. If one of them is Erne, that's awesome. If it's not, we're out 800k in cap space, and somebody else fills the role.

Erne should and probably will break out now. If anything Kunitz was keeping his spot warm for him and that likely contributed to Erne's playing time (or lack thereof) more than anything Erne did. I actually think as time goes by we stand a chance of seeing Erne put up a contribution comparable to Kunitz. It may not be this year and we may not ever get much more than 30 points out of him but as you alluded to, this year we just need our prospects to be effective.
