1400 and 1500 fans respectively the last 2 nights.

And somehow, just somehow. Chilliwack loses their WHL team because of the Heat, even though their lowest attendance for any single game in their last season (2010-11) was 2500 fans, and averaged still 1000 more fans per game than the Heat are this season (3400 for the WHL bruins vs. 2400 for the Heat).

Still makes me mad, almost 3 years later.
I would say the Heat coming to the valley were just a convenient excuse to move the Bruins and not the actual reason.

The Chilliwack Bruins were moved to Victoria in order to prevent the AHL from getting there. No doubt True North or the Canucks would have looked at moving their respective affiliates there. It also explains why the league rejected the ownership bid from Willie Mitchell and Justin Morneau.

FWIW, Abby had 3300 on Friday vs Hamilton, which featured $3 beer, $2 hotdogs and $1 pop. They also got nearly 4000 on Saturday.
