Aaron Sorochan!

Aaron Sorochan was unbelievable for the Vancouver Giants last year, but he still didn't get picked and he should've been picked in the 2002-2003 season. But what's worse, he then got traded from the Giants, in favour of Marek schwarz, who sucks!!!!
Another thing, he was WAY better than Todd Ford when he was on the Giants last year, adn Ford was drafted to the NHL in the 3rd round in 2002. Ford's record with the Gints was 1-7-1!!!!!!!! AWFUL!! And to think that he was drafted 2 and a half years ago and Sorochan still hasn't been drafted!

Sorochan better be drafted this year!!! he definetely deserves to be!!!

Giants play by play guy gives Schwarz a B to B+

Sorochan was traded to Lethbridge to make room for Scwartz, a NHL 1st round Czech 86 born goaltender. Sorochan has raised Lethbridge to the elite of the WHL and Schwarz has drowned Vancouver's hopes of being a true contender this year with mediocre goaltending at best. Sorochan was and is clearly better than Schwarz, the current Giants starting goaltender this year. No doubt. The stats prove it. Poor goaltending is one of the main reasons that the Giants are one of the poorest defensive teams in the WHL.

The Giants radio personality/play by play announcer Joey Kenward, has the audacity to give the Giants goaltending a grade of B to B+ for the first half of the season. I think he's being far too complimentary to Schwarz considering his Save Percentage is 0.892 which ranks 23rd in the league, and his Goals Against Average is 2.85 good for 19th in the league. Since there are only 20 teams in the league and there are about 20 starting goaltenders of which Schwarz is one, don't you think a failing grade is in order, if your goaltender is ranked 19th and 23rd in 2 major goaltending stats(Goals Against Average and Save Percentage)? I believe the grade should be D for below average or F for failure with those kinds of stats. Joey Kenward please get your brown nosing head out of GM Scott Bonner's behind and state what is obvious.

With good goaltending the Giants would not be one of the worst defensive teams in the WHL. One more telling stat that makes a case for poor goaltending is the Giants PK efficiency. Their Penalty Killing efficiency is down to 0.837 (12th in the WHL after 35 games) and 36 goals against while killing penalties. This is significantly down from last years 0.895 Penalty Killing efficiency (3rd in the WHL) and 46 goals against in 72 games last year. Your goaltender absolutely has to be your best player on the Penalty Kill.

Admit it Giants - trading Sorochan to make room for Schwarz was a big mistake!
