Trouba not available, would cost you more then you want to give.

Myers might be available to the Oilers for the right price

A mid-first, three outright reclamation projects, and relief of an albatross contract for a RHD defenseman who is probably gonna score 20G/40A and another top four defenseman to direct rival in desperate need for that. Maybe the first makes it an overpayment but that is the cost of trading with a rival.

Draisaitl at 45% retained is worth more than Hamilton... 3 reclamation projects... You mean a young Defenseman who is signed long term to a great contract and had a shoulder injury all season? 2 top prospects, one who hasn't even had the opportunity to show what he has in the NHL in Kailer. The other is a very raw prospect in Jesse. AND this years first?

Draisatli at 45% retention would be among the most valuable pieces in the league.

With Tanev’a injury history Id rather the Canucks hold on to him then trade him for pennies on the dollar.

Hes actually a very good defender but his durability tarnishes his value.

Wait so you mean it's exactly what Leaf fans have been saying for years, that he was not worth Nylander/Marner, that 1st 2017 (Liljegren) + Kapanen would be fair given he only plays 70 games, that it turns out now that even Liljegren would be an overpayment?

Benning was too scared to trade him while his value was peak high, he put the nucks back years it's so sad that so the bottom 3 GMs in the league all belong to Canadian teams.

How are a 19 year old prospect that had a really good season, a youngish D-man with injury problems and a 19 year old winger reclamation projects but a 24 year old D-man that was heavily sheltered and played 3 pairing minutes is a top-4 D-man?

That Hamilton proposal is one of the worst offers I have seen on this board. I know this is said all the time, but please this one really is special.

CGY offers:
RD Dougie Hamilton
LD Brett Kulak
2018 4th Round Pick

Edmonton offers:
2018 First Round Pick
RW Kailer Yamamoto
RW Jesse Puljujarvi
LD Oscar Klefbom
RW Leon Draisaitl @ 45% retained

I'll swap Severson for Oilers 2018 1st round pick

Thanks to the OP for having enough restraint to not try asking for Jones. :)

We just drafted Stucker last year, tho, and I think we'd like to see a little more of what we have before we move him.

It Would take:

Larsson + Puljujarvi
for
Parayko

Would consider this. Don't see a major need to do so due to our depth in the pipeline of RWers. Would essentially look for either a RW2 or RW3 who is great on the PP instead of Puljujarvi (Unless after a longer look at him it's clear to see that he fits one of those two needs.)

Folks get obsessed with RHD position. Fact is there are more left hand shooting players than right hand shooting players. So if a team has two good right hand shooting Dmen, that's about the norm. Getting good Dman regardless of shooting side should be the priority.
Look what the Flames did last summer in their quest for "RHD". Overpaid on salary to Stone, and overpaid to acquire to Hamonic. Smart NHL GMs and HFBoards GMs are not obsessed with the shooting side of players, and make do not make trades at any cost to acquire one.

Tanev won't be around anyways when the Canucks are contenders in five plus years. Get what you can now
Having a defensive stud capable of eating up tough minutes and sheltering the teams young defenders is a lot more valuable than a late first round pick and a meh prospect.
