Hard due to planning laws. It is a national park.
But like 2-5 miles inland? Can get a nice place for ~$200-250,000 if look around in specific spots (mainly Odeceixe, Vila da Nova Milfontes can also be cheap but Aljezur is juuuust in the Algarve and stupidly that makes it like 30% more expensive or so despite being only a few miles from Odeceixe.)
And land is cheap in general. Can get a nice plot for $80-100,000 or so, and if has a ruin on it planning is pretty easy. And cost of building there is pretty damn cheap vs Northern Europe. Would probably cost $100,000 max to build a decent spec, 2000 sq ft house.
The issue in that region is just so few houses. Only 26,000 people live there... in an area of 700 square miles or so. Like 35 people per square mile.

I know Philly hasn't been much better with crime uptick especially car jackings which have really ramped up.....but people I know who live in NYC said crime is out of hand and especially with the homeless.

4 years ago while in Mexico, after a long day this movie came on. The wife had never seen it before. We stayed up till 1:30 watching it and she loved it.

First game of dek hockey in 6 years. I am woefully out of shape, though I do cardio almost every day. First shift I tried to be all over the place as an offensive defenseman, but spent so much energy I was trying to catch my breath the rest of the game. Tried to be a hero too much with outlet passes and had some brutal turnovers plus I couldn't tie up my man on our only goal allowed. But generated a ton of offense from the back end. Looking forward to playing a lot more and getting back into better game shape. Plus hopefully make an few friends.
