It was that game/series though. He did have numerous moments of dominance and great play during it. I specifically remember JVR becoming the focus for the broadcast team in game 2 and that’s without even rewatching.

JVR was the best player on the ice by far that game (except Thomas I guess) - I thought he was going to be a superstar.
