Can't wait for Konecny being benched in third period of a game that clearly doesn't matter.

Seems unlikely that either LA or Winnipeg catch us in the standings. Seems like we are nearly locked into the 11th or 12 pick.

Hoping for a 3 point night from Giroux to hit 60, a goal for Vecchione, a goal for Konecny, a goal for Weal, and a loss to help our draft pick.

Only a moron coach would risk injuring a rookie winger by playing him six minutes more than his average ice time in a meaningless game.

So with that wisdom, who sits tomm, G, Couts, Provy, hate to risk their health.

But like you think, experience playing all situations comes from fairies... We have games to gain experience for top flight rookies, every team does it. But don't you fret, the VDV, Manning and Farmer show will be in full effect to end the season. Probably keep Jake in his dominant PP role as well, would be foolish to try out some new things in real game action.

Hope Vecchione doesn't play at all then, imagine how safe he could remain.

Is Vecchione playing tomorrow?

At least that's what they said. he wasn't going to play Saturday or Sunday (because he hadn't skated in a week or some such reason), but he should be ready by Tuesday.

Then again Haks kept on mentioning how he hadn't even had a training session with the team yet, so who really knows? Maybe VdV will play on all four lines instead. Anything is possible.

You guys keep pretending that Konecny hasn't been given a lot of ice time this season, but he has.

http://www.nhl.com/stats/player?agg...162017&filter=gamesPlayed,gte,&sort=timeOnIce

You ignore that he has averaged 14:13 in icetime this season:

yet has not played above that mark in his last 8 games with 13:33 being the highest and has 1 point.

And in his previous 8 he only had 1 game BELOW 13:33 in icetime, and had 5 points in 8 games.

So since his injury, played 8 games getting more minutes, and produced. Then Hak cut his icetime and stuck him with garbage, and crushed his production.

Context.

There is no reason for Tk NOT to be playing 15 minutes a night, unless you want to increase your chances of losing. Just another dumb coaching decision for Hak.....one of many.

Placed him on the top line only because Read got injured, and then was taken off the PP to make up for playing higher up

Had to get him off PP so DJ MDZ got more time. Another guy that shouldn't be here next year.

He could even put G on second unit and let TK run the top unit for experience

Is Vecchione playing tomorrow?

The indication after Sunday's game was that the desire was to get Vecchione a full practice before playing in a game. The team did not practice Monday. There is an outside chance he could play but likelier he'd play Saturday after a practice. This is why he is listed as doubtful in the opening post.
