Someone mentioned on a Hawks blog that "Getzlaf is playing with an obvious injury". When I asked for clarification another poster guessed it could be the sports hernia that Getz had during the playoffs last year is still bothering him. Is there any truth to Getzlaf being injured?

Yes it true, He chose not to have surgery.. Because he did that, he didnt really work out in the summer.. Which leads to his poor results on the ice. Perry Got married in the summer, I have no idea what happened to him.

The team has said nothing. Some of us believe it is still the sports hernia that he chose not to have surgically repaired this summer.
