Crazy thing is if Rome doesn't do what he did the Bruins most likely don't win the Cup - it's not unlike Mo Lewis nearly killing Drew Bledsoe as if that didn't happen Tom Brady doesn't happen.

I don't know, it did give them something to rally around as a poke-the-bear moment, but they had already started to come out stronger before the hit. I believe Claude scratched Seguin to put Shawn Thornton back in the lineup as an emotional lift. If Horton doesn't get knocked out, maybe we score a goal in game 5 take it in 6. But there are so many butterfly effect questions that you can't really know.

Even after Horton was hurt the Bruins still looked listless BUT they had not seen the replay as the NHL refused to show it on the HDX. When the team saw it between periods they came out on a mission.

i remember that especially. because after this game i knew we were gonna win. because they were gonna be down rome and hamhuis for the series.
plus that moron vigneault left luongo in for all 8 goals and the guy was never the same in our building.
