I don’t think it was a shell. They actually tried to win, which is sad cause they actually tried.

I am now actively rooting for this team to choke and miss the playoffs. I hate to be that guy but holy f*** is this team just not ready. Way too f***ing slow.

To make matters worse I bet to all Hell we're going to pick Serron Noel with our 17th pick and trade our second for like a second and a f***ing thrd. f*** this garbage team and garbage coach

The Flyers outshot the Stars 14-6 in the 3rd, dominated the vast majority of the period, & people are still claiming “shell.” Can’t make this stuff up.

They gave up an inexcusable 75% length of the ice pass to spring a 2-on-0 breakaway in OT with Konecny & Ghost on the ice — not saying they shouldn’t have been out there, but that can’t happen. Brutal.

You really need to watch the games, you sound real dumb

Ghost not playing the final 5 mins is the def of the shell, he is not trying to win the game playing Torgo and not having Giroux play the last 2:30 is his version of the shell.

Benching your best overall defensemen (who happens to drive the shit out of play), and your best gamebreaker on defense in favor of "safer" veterans for the final five minutes of the game to try and secure a point is the very definition of shell.

What other coach in the league willingly sits his number one defenseman for the final five in a tied hockey game? f*** outta here with your bullshit.

Lehtera (why is he taking an offensive zone face off with two minutes to go?) and Co put a bunch of muffins on net in the early part of the third, so the shell is just some made up HiveMind thing.

"We can't out-skill them, so we must out-battle them"

1- HORRIBLE message to send to your supposed playoff team going up against a team that is scuffling to all hell.

2- YOU COULDNT EVEN GET THEM TO DO THAT

Hakstol is useless. We are the slowest team in the league when we dont even have to be

Just quoting the oddity of it.
The shell comment wasn't about the entirety of the period. I was actually pretty impressed with how aggressive they were in the first five minutes, and specifically during the 4 on4. But at some point, Hak decided the point was so important that he almost willingly gave up on trying to win in regulation. That and against a team that the Flyer's didn't have a shot in hell at beating in a 3 on 3 scenario.

Yes on the first point. The shell is a myth.

Didn’t see TK on that last play, he may have gone for a change and just didn’t make it.

It wouldn't go to OT if decisions like pulling your best players and not having a Center for offensive drop with 2 minutes left in the game
