Don't seem to be any line-up changes.

Niemi should get the start again tonight.

Forwards:

Left Wing | Center | Right Wing
Jamie Benn | Tyler Seguin | Patrick Sharp
Mattias Janmark | Jason Spezza | Valeri Nichushkin
Antoine Roussel | Cody Eakin | Ales Hemsky
Vernon Fiddler | Radek Faksa | Colton Sceviour

Glad to see Janmark get bumped up, but I'm not too sure I like this.

I don't really care about pairings this early on but I'd like to see Nemeth or Oleksiak feature in once we get home.

You probably also don't like a team that has but one scoring line, and neither does Ruff. Spezza can't carry Fiddler and Val, so some tweaks here and there to spark the middle two lines aren't something to be afraid of.

Its more Hemsky that's the problem for me than anything.

He's come out scoring and can't seem to catch a break.

I think Sharp should be with Spezza because, as said above, two scoring lines is much better than one. Sceviour with Benn and Seguin looked quite good last season so he would probably fit there now, too.

They trust Hemsky to be RW on a defensive line and they cannot trust Val to do the same. They need Val to get rolling, and Eakin has enough offense that Hemsky should still be a factor. The roles are the roles and now Ruff is trying to make the best fit for the pieces we have.

Our start means we have the luxury of doing this now and trying things out to find the best fit/jumpstart guys who are struggling.

They want to make fancy plays Scevior cant; he wants to shoot from bad angles. It was a disaster to the point Seguin stopped passing to him and it won't be repeated.

Maybe your right. Anyway, the line combinations would look much better if Nichushkin got his game going. I damn sure hope he will.

100%. It's nice to be in position where he is the sole thing that isn't working and everyone else is playing well, points or not.
