Also I think the shine on Jankowski has kinda worn off. Dude's getting caved analytically and he really hasn't been doing anything to pass the eye test either.

Similar to last game but we look a lot better in the o zone.

I love Sid, and I know he will never change now, but sometimes it drives me nuts with him how quickly he just throws pucks away in the offensive zone. He makes brilliant passes doing it sometimes so I guess it's just part of the territory but there are situations where I really really wish he would just hold onto the puck instead of immediately flinging it away for a 10% play. Earlier in his career he would have.

I guess part of it is probably him trying to keep himself healthy now and limit contact. I just occasionally miss that rookie/sophomore year Sid who would hold onto pucks for days and then make a play. But I guess he realized he'd take too much abuse doing that so he uses that talent only sparingly nowadays.
