[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

Dan must have drank a lot of milk as a kid. You know he’s in pain if he leaves the bench. That doesn’t happen very often.
I think you have to watch him everyday to appreciate what he does.
- Marc Staal

One game doesn’t say anything. We have to continually do it back to back here and start getting points.
Start getting more confidence and understand each other even more on the ice so we can play and execute at a better pace.
- Ryan McDonagh

We did what we had to do to win a game against a tough opponent. It’s nice to start with the puck.
We can play at a faster pace when we start with the puck. There’s no doubt we got some bounces from their goalie that permitted us to score some timely goals.
- Alain Vigneault

Girardi is a warrior. But, let the laceration heal a bit. Don't want it to become something worse.

Hunwick on the first pair isn't the problem. The problem is Kostla on any pair

Agree. Hunwick is by no means a first pairing defenseman but I don't think it will be that terrible. Kostka is so bad that he has the ability to **** the game up even if he is on the bench or in the press box.

It is extremely difficult EC. As much as I really want to let G have his laceration heal, I really reallyyyyy don't want to see Kostka wear a Rangers uniform ever again. He is just that bad. Worse than Bickel.

Bickels like Lidstrom compared to Kostla

Stu Bickel is Bobby Orr on steroids compared to Kostka. Ok. Maybe that is a slight exaggeration...

Wonder what Christian Backman, Dimitri Kalinin and Jeff Woywitka are up to these days?
Even if they have been sitting on their couch, eating potato chips all day, any one of them would be better than Kostya!

I'd seriously rather put Dom Moore or another defensively responsible forward on D and start Duke then go with Kostka.

Someone suggested Derek Morris in the trade proposal thread. I don't know why we don't waive Kostka and sign Morris. Push Hunwick back into the 7th spot for the time being.

However it appears management wants to rough it until the middle of November when Boyle should be close to returning.

I said it in the pre game thread, if G can't go I'd roll Staal-McD, Moore-Klein, Hunwick-Thor. Play Staal-McD 30 mins and shelter the third pair. There's 3 days between games, they can rest up

Appears #NYR's Girardi will play:
AV: I’ve just known him for a year, but I think it’s going to take a lot to keep him out of the lineup"

We can all take a step back away from the ledge

My only memories of him was his perfect pass to Parise. And the ****ing lazy penalties. He was Kostka bad. Maybe worse.

I remember the crowd booing him. He scores and the boos quickly turned to cheers.
