I'm positive that the issue the defensemen on this team have with making bad pinches is 100% systematic. When so many of their defenseman are making as many ill-advised pinches as they are, I don't know how you can conclude anything but they're being told to do that.

EXACTLY. I don't get why we don't have way more set plays where the D or the Fs just hit Malkin in stride and let him do his thing. It's simple stuff.
