Ducks beating the Pens in regulation is sooooome kind of serendipity. The dirty birds have lost five in a row, just as the Flyers have won their last five, but the former have a game in hand despite their one-point deficit.

There is real incentive to clinch the second seed over the third: for whatever reasons, both the Flyers and Penguins have significant (and very similar) home-road splits.

Home: 23-5-4 vs. 22-6-4
Away: 14-15-3 vs. 15-14-2

Likewise with the Isles, currently two further back: 20-7-5 at home, 15-13-3 away. The rest of the metro aspirants are a little more balanced.

Would definitely prefer a Game 7 at home.

Just keep playing well, but we need to win one of the next two games on the road with NYR and the Caps.
Too early to worry about playoff positioning, right now 100+ points is my goal.
When we get to less than 10 games left, then I'll worry about who we're chasing/leading.

I don’t know about ye guys but...
UNEASY NERVOUS EXCITEMENT
describes my feeling right now with the Flyers!
Where they are in the standings and just the overall feel of the team in general!
Am I suppose to feel they’re playing above their heads or that it’s their time?

I don't think it's "their time" unless Hart starts playing as well on the road as at home.

But I also don't think they're playing over their heads, they had 98 points two years ago with mediocre goaltending, the team craters last year b/c the goalies cratered, they're on a 100+ pace this year with mediocre goaltending (overall, about .005 S% below league average).

What we've seen is when Hart is at home and playing like a top 5 goalie they're unbeatable, but on the road:
3-10-1 with a .855 S%.
Elliott also plays better at home, but the split isn't nearly as dramatic, on the road:
11-5-2 with a .894 S%.

Some of this is matchups, earlier in the season with the injuries, Flyers were more vulnerable on the road.
One reason for adding Grant is to provide options on the road against certain teams.

However, it comes down to Hart raising his road game to at least NHL average, in that case we're a top 8 team.
