Comparing his stats against goaltenders that you call "elite" and making the argument that they're similar or that the deviation is negligible is calling him elite in a roundabout way.

Granted the elite rhetoric has toned down a bit over the last couple seasons but around 2010 it started getting crazy. Any discussion of him ever being team MVP, regardless of season is a disservice to his overachieving teammates who should have been playing in the AHL.
