The only factor in choosing the starting goaltender should be what's best for Hart. I don't care about the optics of having him sit, I don't care about Gordon saving face, I don't care about keeping up appearances that the Flyers are pressing for a playoff spot, or about giving value to the customers who bought a ticket to see this incarnation of the Flyers take the semi-ice from about a mile and a half. The focus needs to be next season and, particularly after the team plopped a couple of number 2's on the ice over their past two games, personnel decisions can't be wrapped around "deserved" or "good business". While I appreciate the Flyers not going Senaturtle with Simmonds (so far) ahead of the TDL, I'll be watching through my fingers in the hope that Wayne doesn't take a header or footer and mess up his trade value. Get through this game, accept that it's going to be another season watching the first round of playoffs on the TV, and gather up this season's learnings to come out much, much better next season.

When the game rolls around, Hart will have only played around 20 minutes in the previous 5 days, so I don't think fatigue will be an issue.
