No doubt, Hank has played his best facing elimination. But, as you point out, what got them to game 7? In many of those series, Hank was pulled in games earlier in the series.
Now there are those who would say that it was because of the defense, but why is it when Hank stinks, its the D, but when he does well, its because he is the best goalie in the game?

In 11 playoff years and 130+ playoff games the Rangers have played, another goalie has played in 8 of those. 3 of them came in 2016, which obviously was his worst time in the playoffs. Another 1 came in the 2006 playoffs when Lundqvist had a medical problem. So... pulled 4 times in the other 9 years with about 120 games played.

But sure. Many of those series earlier he was pulled. 4 times in 20 playoff series. Definitively qualifies for “many.”

An argument could be made for this given the runs he went on. When he was on he was definitely on. But he definitely wasn't the most consistent. There were times where he absolutely killed us with his play.

Every goalie will have bad games (and bad series), but Roy's consistency was one his strongest points.

I have unpublished research which shows that when compared to Belfour, Hasek and Brodeur, Roy had the lowest percentage of poor games, and the highest percentage of strong games.

He seems to hate everything Canadian, as well.

Reading comprehension buddy...I suggest you work on it...

2011 Caps vs Rags= Neuvirth .946 to Hanks .917
2012 Devils vs Rags= Brodeur .927% and above .900 in 5/6 games. Hank .917% and over .900 in 2/6 games.
2013 Bruin vs Rags= Rask .936% and Hank with .918
2014 Kings vs Rags= Quick .932 and Hank with .923 (holy crap, he actually posted a save % above .920 for once)
2015 Tampa vs Rags= both Bishop and Hank post awful .902%
2016 Pens vs Rags= Rookie Matt Murray posts .955 to Hanks incredible .867 (Pay me 8.5MM and I'll post a better save percentage than that).
and in 2017 Hank posts .905 vs a mediocre Senators team.

To recap: Lundqvist is consistently outplayed...EVERY YEAR. The only thing this bum deserves is a participation award. That's what prima donnas like him expect.

This logic has successfully already been put to shame. By numerous people, actually. And from Non-Rangers fans who ultimately don’t give a **** about Lundqvist..

People keep repeating it over and over, yet you purposely keep neglecting facts.

Why are you so oblivious to logic, common sense, and understanding of how a teams play can affect a players stats?

Would someone here be kind enough to show this foolish poster what Lundqvists high percentage scoring chances are in relation to his competition throughout his career?

Good goalies on good teams win cups. Henrik Lundqvist on a good team...plays a lot of golf in the offseason.

Without and doubt I think he will catch HoFer Ed Balfour. No question. He might even catch Hasek but no way he gets to Plante.

But seriously, if the Rangers can get back to contender status it will help him fly up the rankings. I just don't know if they're the caliber team anymore to get him a lot of shutouts on the back end of his career.

Lundqvist Career Playoff Save % - 0.922

Good goalies on good teams win cups. Henrik Lundqvist on a good team...plays a lot of golf in the offseason.

Realistic Cup Window - 2011/12 - 2014/15

Playoff GF/60 Rank among Playoff Teams
2012 - 9th out of 16 (SC Winner - 3rd)
2013 - 10th out of 16 (SC Winner - 6th)
2014 - 11th out of 16 (SC Winner - 1st)
2015 - 9th out of 16 (SC Winner - 3rd)

Defensive Stats are similarly well below average. Those good teams were below average in the Playoffs...unfortunately for us Ranger fans

And how many cups does he have? Nobody cares about prima donnas like Lundqvist who will never win a cup.

He has been the face of an original 6 team's franchise for almost a decade in the biggest city in the United States. I honestly believe at least a couple of people care.

Big deal stat. Quick(17 behind him in 250 less games) is on pace to pass him, will he even get by Luongo(74)?
