I feel quite confident saying the Flyers are a better, more talented team than the Blue Jackets and Islanders. It’s Carolina who should be our competition for the 3rd spot in the Metro. So continue to prove it on Thursday. Hopefully, Andrew Peeke’s skates are ready.

Giroux also with 11 points in his last 6 games. Now that the PP ****ery is behind us (knock on Therrien’s wooden brain) and with those juicy Couturier minutes, I wouldn’t put 70 points past him. Which would be a hell of a finish.

Now on pace for 63...

but if he keeps the pace he has had over the last 6 games for the remaining 22 he will finish with 86 points.;)

The officiating was f***ing C O M I C A L

Columbus got away with AT LEAST 6 obvious penalties. I counted 3 trips (Bunny and 2 others) 1 hold (Provy), 1 high stick (TK), and 1 hook (NAK).

No wonder they lead NHL in games without penalties taken. The new batch of refs is scared shitless of Torts.

Important win. Going to have to be a little better Thursday, because you sure as hell cant expect to get the insane bounces the Flyers got tonight.

Not often you win 5-1 when getting outshot 29-15 & outchanced 17-11.

Hart quietly had a good game.

Well we had quite a few crazy lucky goals but I'll take all of them. We had enough bad luck, we deserve some good.

At 5v5...
45.35 CF%
40.53 xGF%
60.00 HDCF%

So, they had more chances at 5v5 and some extended shifts against that trash 3rd pair, but we had the better quality chances.

Hagg still sucks. Lucky as all hell, but still a terrible player. 29.03 CF% (worst on team), 32.61 xGF% (3rd worst on team).

Myers with the highest CF% and xGF% on the team. He and Sanheim were very good. Easily our best pair tonight.

Also Giroux is a beast and that PP assist was the perfect way to take 1st place in franchise history in PP points. Great pass by TK and great shot by Voracek too.
Speaking of Giroux, he's now at 11 points in his last 6 games.
