I think I read somewhere not long ago that Detroit is planning on giving him an extension at some point. He’s a pending UFA.

Yea I’ve looked myself. It would be great this year and offseason with so much going on. Boomer talks about them a fair amount on nhl radio.

If it’s the latter, he’s back for the Stadium Series with 3 days to spare.

If it’s 3 games, he will be here the day of or close to a week before. 2/15: Bridgeport | 2/16: Hershey | 2/17: Hershey | 2/22: Charlotte

I highly doubt he plays three back to back games. My guess is it’s a game or two and the 6 day waiting period.


I really want him to rag doll Malkin in the 23rd... mostly because I’ll be there, but the stick swing was kinda bad.

Great idea, although I'd pair up Cap'n and Magua as co-hosts, with Appleyard on to give a stats perspective on everything, DJ MSE, a 1-minute Striiker rant, and Beef vs Dead. And it would have to be broadcast from Cap'n's barn with chickens all over the place.
