This was just moments before he scored..... .

...and 15 seconds after he tripped Brown.

Malkin is obviously a great player, but why do the refs seem to give him close calls? I don't see a lot of pens games, but the refs sure seem to take it easy on him and protect him.

TWO penalties on the same (soft) stick check by different players?!?!?

but also when you can't score, every seemingly terrible ref call/non-call is magnified.

Is it too soon to start checking the upcoming draft for potential #6 - 12 picks?
