Welcome to my Hayes hate train. Established 15 games into his contract, not slowed down at all by the mirage that was last year, fueled up for 5 more years.

Pretty sure @Captain Dave Poulin is here too but nobody has actually seen him, you just catch a whiff of salmon death farts every so often.
I did my best to give him a chance last year and for a while he was tolerable. But then either he got worse or I just finally started noticing the puck hogging and low IQ plays more... and more... and more... and now it's just too grating to ignore.

He's actively detrimental to his linemates a large percentage of the time.
He's not even performing as an individual while being a selfish puck hog.
When he's not producing, there's really not much left for him to do on the ice that helps the team win, since he's not even a good defensive player.
He's getting overpaid like he's a core piece
He's going to steal an expansion spot from a more deserving player.
And best part is we have the team and media shoving him down our throats constantly because they're trying to defend their big mistake.

Difference is, even if they're in a better system, Hayes still refuses to pass and Voracek is a great passer, while obviously being much better offensively. It makes any flaws and mistakes far more tolerable.

If we need to get rid of someone to make room for a new mistake addition, it should be Hayes. Dumping Voracek or JVR and letting him stay would be terrible.

The metrics don't jibe with that story, if they "stopped playing" how come they weren't being dominated when it comes to possession and scoring chances?

As long as we don't lose sight of who is the literal Captain of this f***ing train.
