They're designed to be looked at over time not on a game to game basis. It is interesting to see it on a game by game basis though.
Which is silly when you think about it, getting outshot 46-21 in one game has virtually nothing to do with how you'll play in subsequent games, but it could take a solid 10 games to get back to even.
Games have virtually zero carry over effect on the next game, what happens on a game by game basis is more important to me than the collective total. If u get outshot 2-1 every night like the leafs then its a problem.
