When you've guys like Vasy, Hedman, Stamkos and so on...if the GM does perfectly his job, our window is still open for years I think

TBH we miss Savard more than everyone on this board gives him credit for

Savard was good in the last two series but he would be an anchor against this fast Toronto team.

I expect us to win tomorrow night, but then lose game 7 by getting shut out or something. I remember the Bruins series from I think 2011 where we lost 1-0 to lose the series, of course losing to Washington in game 6 and 7 in 2018 both by shutouts as well. I've been saying we look tired, but the lack of depth also isn't helping. I don't think we're getting what we wanted out of Hagel, maybe that starts paying dividends next year. Paul has looked decent but lately he is reminding me of Joseph with his inability to finish. If we do end up losing this series it will be interesting to see the moves we make, and I wouldn't at all be surprised if Stammer is once again asked to waive.

Well Paul had a great game but if he finishes one of those opportunities we are talking about him possibly being a reason we could have won that game and having a home game to close the series out. Almost justifies the trade alone.
