Where is this "Niemi is bad" coming from? He and Kari faced about the same onslaught in their starts and Niemi isn't the one who allowed 4 goals in the 1st.

To follow up: if you look at adjusted save percentage* for goalies with 500 minutes of TOI there are 52 goalies.

Antti Niemi is at #25. Maybe not bad. But definitely not good.


Kari Lehtonen is at #45.

This is the weighted-average of SvPctHigh, SvPctMed, and SvPctLow, where the weights correspond to the league-wide percentage of shots from each of those areas.
