Basically anyone looking to add D will likely at least call about him. He's a mobile, righthanded D, playing big minutes, with GREAT underlying metrics. I do think there's a possibility of a 1st, more likely a 2nd, but crazier things have happened.

It's funny in that I thought comparing Gauthier's profile to Tippett was actually insulting. To Tippett! Gauthier might very well be a better player/scorer, but he doesn't come close to Tippett's athleticism. It's really that game breaking. Gauthier was "good" in that department.

I tend to agree. Gauthier is athletic, but was always 'smoother' in his movements, and Tippett is much more aggressive in his movements. He's so strong in his legs.

Gauthier has much better control of his shot though.
