No, of course it wasn't. Jesus, talk about rose tinted glasses.

It was flashy move that failed when he could have just dished to a wide open one timer.

well it failed either way. but it looked to me like he may have deliberately passed it between his legs. not sure how you are so certain it was not.

According to Flash Score Hoglander has been promoted to the second line for Rogle's match today vs HV 71. (Rogle is down 2-0 in the second at the moment.)

Hoglander was pointless in Rogle's 2-1 OT loss today, but he had close to 19 minutes of ice time, which is a good sign.

Also: 3 SOG and even.

Rogle is down 4-1 heading into the third period today, but Hoglander has the lone goal. It's good to see him on the scoresheet again.

Hoglander is having a great season in the SHL, also his hockeydb height/weight is totally off. His official height was 5 feet 9.5 inches at the draft combine.

4pts in his last 4 games and reports are he's being extremely hard to contain. Up to .50 ppg as a 18yr old in the SEL. Thats nothing to scoff about this kid is a legit big time talent.

Will be interesting to see how he deals with faster stronger players once he comes over and what kind of defensive player he can be.

Cant wait to watch his U20 performance

Podkolzin - Pettersson - Hoglander
Miller- Horvat - Boeser
Pearson - Gaudette - Roussell
Leivo - Sutter - Virtanen

Sick forward group if Hog and Pod reach their potential.

The chances of chances of the careers of Podkolzin and Hoglander meshing with the contracts for Sutter, Leivo and even Roussel are pretty slim imo.

And you're forgetting Madden....how about a 'kid line' of Madden between Hoglander and Podkolzin?....now that would be something!

If this is a 21-22 projection, where did Eriksson, Beagle, and Ferland go?

Pettersson needs a new mega deal before then; along with Markstrom and Demko; with Hughes waiting in the wings.

Absolutely zero cap space for dead-weight contracts like Eriksson, Beagle, Ferland or Sutter. At least three three of them have to go.

The only completely dead weight contract is Eriksson's. Beagle Ferland and Sutter have value and can be traded especially if some amount of salary is retained.. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the entire Canucks organization (GM, coaches ect..) love Beagle and Sutter; they'll drop other players before those two.

I wish it was easy getting 2 first line players

This is some deja vu ****

Statistically we almost already have 2 first liners on the way via the draft. Since Petey is so good you can put him with good second liners and his line will still produce like a first line. So any top 6 will do.

Then we can extrapolate the probability that Benning’s 1st round selections will exceed expectations from the current data which is 66.666, repeating of course, percent. (40, 43, 6, 91 did, 6 and 48 did not) To simplify we can say that the rest of his picks have a 17% chance of exceeding expectations. From there we can add up the probabilities of each individual prospect with top 6 potential to project the roster moving forward.

Podkolzin 66% + Madden 17% + Lind 17% = 100% chance of a top 6 player with Podkolzhin being the most likely to take the spot.

Hoglander 17% + Gaudette 17% + Gadjovich 17% = 51% chance of another top 6er. I put Gaudette in there because he still hasn’t had a real shot in the top 6 yet.

These names and numbers are all conservative. So we realistically already have 1.5 out of the 2 big holes in the top 6 ready to be plugged by great draft picks. Benning will probably add even more to that number over the next few drafts while also showing up the defense. We should be well set for the next decade.

I don't even know where to start...where do you get these percentages? You do realize there is a chance none of Podkolzin, Madden and Lind become NHLers and a decent chance none of them become top-6 players; yet you have the three listed as having 100% chance of becoming a top a 6 player accumulatively (1/3 are guaranteed to be top-6) and you call that conservative?
