Phillies lost so the Flyers can win. Brotherly love. I still think the Flyers will plummet to the bottom of the standings by season’s end but who knows..maybe this is the start of the most improbable Cup winner ever. First in almost 50 years and we all acknowledge Torts led them to the promise land and becomes a Flyer icon. Probably not though but they will be good eventually

This team is unbeaten at doing all the wrong things and getting the right results early so the Authentic brigade can say, “See?!” It’s their superpower. Only when they’re supposed to be good do they have a shit start.

It’s important to say: if all the young players were in positions to succeed and they won games because of them, this is undeniably good! This is also undeniably not the case.

Honestly in every game so far except Ottawa they've looked at least respectable defensively. Not that that means much, and if anything, giving Torts validation is almost certainly never good, But f*** it, we all knew they weren't gonna make this tanking thing easy anyway.

Also i feel bad for Draisaitl and McDavid. That team feels destined to never be a contender for some reason.

I think Foerster and Andrae are headed back to LHV in the near future:

Farabee - Couts - Atkinson
Tippett - Frost - TK
Laughton - Cates - Brink

York - Sanhiem
Seelter/Staal - Walker
Zamula - Risto

The return of a healthy Coots pretty much guarantees no high draft pick. At least we can look forward to a few sneak into the playoff years when him and MM overlap before they proceed to piss away MM's career like G's.
Coots and good Carter Hart to cover up the holes on a weak 3-6 on the blueline.

We'll see how injuries change the season but right now the top 9 is pretty good by NHL standards and they can probably run a higher PDO than average.

The PP not being dead last will also get them points in the standings.
