I mean, I think Point has made him a little less crucial - more of a luxury since we have a guy that can fill in just fine.

Namestnikov is trash and needs to be gone. Wouldn't even QO him. Killorn's contract was bad when it was signed, and it's looking a lot worse now. Paquette is a guy who when he is on is perfect for his role, but he's just hurt CONSTANTLY.

We still have the pieces. We need to tighten up the forward depth (fourth line and a defensive specialist mainly). Solidify the D but I don't think anything here requires a ton of work. There are moves that can be made here and our core is pretty damn good.

No argument with any of that. Paq's problem is that when he's healthy he doesn't want to get nasty in the middle and shoot or drive towards the crease. He's lost his fire.

All these injuries have destroyed him.

Maybe next season we could stay somewhat healthy, is that too much to ask? Last four seasons have all come down to injuries in the end.

Dumont needs to kick rocks. If your wife is about to have a baby and you plan to just up and leave, leave before it happens and let us call somebody up. Totally selfish move there, sticking around for the NHL money.

2013-14 we lost Bishop right before the playoffs and were forced to play with Anders ****ing Lindback and Kristers Gudlevskis. We obviously got swept.
2014-15 we were so close but Johnson and Bishop were hurt playing in the finals. Kucherov had something too, right?
2015-16, no Bishop and no Stamkos for the Pens series. Still able to get it to 7 games. Strålman also just game back from injury and was horrible.
This season pretty much everyone was hurt. How the **** is it even possible to have so many injuries to key players in key moments...

Everything sucks right now, but that sweep was not Kristers' fault.

I'm drinking moonshine. RIP 2016-2017 Bolts.

There should be a clause in Palat's contract that forces him to show up in October.

"It's ok because he's PPG in the second half of the season".

Not just Palat, almost everyone on this board was ok with effort the first half thinking we could make it up in the 2nd.

Typical Vasilevskiy game.

Getting shut out? Yeah, that is a typical Vasi game.

Quoted for truth. The team took an extended summer vacation that lasted until December for the second consecutive season. Raise your hand if you don't find that alarming. If your hand is raised, please slap yourself with it.

I had no idea games in October were as important as games in March. Thanks for bringing that to our attention guys :sarcasm:

We currently have a 1.8% chance of getting the #1 overall pick and a 5.9% chance of getting a top 3 pick

It was the general sentiment of most of the board that it was OK where we were in December because we could just get hot in the 2nd half and make the playoffs. So you're welcome, just in case you were one of them.
