Kadri got cross checked into the goalie and then hit a few more times. After the play he chirped at Risto. That happens dozens of times a game.

Ristro threw a fit and the officials decided for some reason that Buffalo deserved a powerplay because they feel bad for them or something.

There isn't a blank check to chirp. If you do it openly and obnoxiously enough right after a goal, you run risk of either unsportsmanlike conduct penalty or getting fed your teeth.

Risto actually started it. The goal went in and he turned toward Kadri and said something. Kadri responded.

The ref was calling absolutely nothing until Risto responded and then decided he had to punish Kadri.

Because its something that is never called except for this random instance, chirps happen after goals literally all the time. Kadri has a target on his back with the refs and got called because reasons this time.

I could of seen off setting penalties but I can not see the rationale for Kadri to end up with 2 penalties out of it....

As I said, he scored and Risto turned towards him and said something. Kadri responded. In 99.9% of cases that's the end of it. In this case Risto had his precious little feelings hurt and had to go rough Kadri. The official felt bad for Risto and the Sabres and decided to give them a powerplay.

It's certainly ironic for Kadri to call someone that, that's why the chirp is so effective.

I don't think calling Kadri a punk is showing bias. It's a pretty accurate description of how he behaves.
