Update after the QF, and 1st relegation match. It's going to be tough for anyone to catch Paajarvi now, most of us in contention have lost 3-4 players so no real advantage for anyone.

Malgin got a point for Paajarvi so it's still 7 ;)

I'll do an update after the semis today hopefully.

7 point lead for Paajarvi going into the final 2 games. With Buchnevich, de la Rose, Provorov and Fucale, it's touch to see anyone catching him as he will probably rack up a couple points as well.

The race for 2nd and 3rd is very tight however.

It's gonna take a miracle for anyone to top Paajarvi but we had some jostling for 2nd. Killerwhale moving into 2nd on the back of Reway. Will be interesting to see if he can hold it

10 point night from Morin after not scoring all tournament without Buchnevich or Provorov getting any points but Russia wins so Fucale doesn't get anything.

Sounds pretty reasonable to me :)

Final standings.

Paajarvi takes it in a landslide. Lead by literally all his forwards and Canada standing by Fucale he wins by 6, and was never really challenged as this thing got into the medal round.

Vankiller Whale takes 2nd after picking last. Lead by a strong Reway finish, and scraping out points here and there on the final day, Reway, 1 from Buchnevich, 1 from Valiev, a couple from Tolchinski, he takes 2nd by 1.

I rise to 3rd, led mainly by team Canada players Domi and McDavid. Domi had a huge gold medal game, along with points from Morrissey and McDavid. The moment I lost this tournament was when Comrie gave up that weak 3rd goal to the Americans. I think if we ride that game out Canada goes with him in the medal round, Paajarvi loses out on his 7 Fucale points there and I probably get them. It wasn't meant to be, but that's what I said it would probably come down to, and that's probably what it was.

Last chance to double check that everything is correct. I believe it is and won't be checking anymore so if something is wrong, and you want it fixed, you have to let me know.

Thanks for playing guys, and a special thanks to AFTeRMaTH and sjci for taking over for tardy GM's. Hope you all had fun. I'll try to run this for a 4th straight year next year, will let all you guys know in early December.

Great tourney everyone, great fun. I'm still kicking myself for taking Valiyev over Forsling, since I thought Forsling had a better chance of being there on the returning pick. Still, a great finish and I'm just happy to see Canada win.

And congrats to Paajarvi for finishing 1st.

Not that it matters, nor does it change my position but Goldobin finished with 5 points.

Kapanen and Honka were massive disappointments for me, and I was certainly expecting the Americans to make more noise.

Congratulations to Paajarvi on the victory, and a huge shout out goes to C4G for hosting!
