Frickin homers Jonesy and Therien talking about what a great goal that was by Parise. Only Clement puts any of it on Schultz. Parise is a great player and all but seriously any player could have put that one in... such homers.

I'm rather shocked that it was Clement being reasonably and not Therien.

If Ghost's last shift ended with 14:54 left in the 2nd there was nothing obvious going on.

He makes a good play to push the puck out of the zone then goes to the bench.

Might have been skating and felt a twinge.

I'm OK with being safe with that and not pushing it to something bigger. Groin injuries can be persistent.

Not really been mentioned but the '4th' line were absolutely awesome today. (or the Biblical line as I like to call them in my head as of about 4 minutes ago... 20:21-24.)

Read, Laughton and Umberger all played great hockey and created some great chances and a lot of momentum.

Read Matthew 20: 21-24

Apparently:

Matthew 20:21-24English Standard Version (ESV)

21 And he said to her, “What do you want?†She said to him, “Say that these two sons of mine are to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your kingdom.†22 Jesus answered, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am to drink?†They said to him, “We are able.†23 He said to them, “You will drink my cup, but to sit at my right hand and at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.†24 And when the ten heard it, they were indignant at the two brothers.

So going off that:

Laughton is Jesus in the middle, and Hakstol has gave him people who Hakstol thinks are special/worthy of being on his wings, but everyone is pretty fed up with them, and they are only getting a cup of coffee there, and the only people worthy of being on his wings are those hand-picked by Go... I mean Hextall.

Makes me think he's worth keeping honestly as opposed to eventually being trade bait as was the consensus in the off-season.

They have to keep Del Zotto. He's a childhood friend of Stamkos. Need him as bait...

The consensus seems to be a knee-on-knee (right knee, not the surgically repaired left knee for Ghost)

"We kind of let the lead slip away there, and it was nice to contribute offensively," Del Zotto said after the second two-goal game of his career - the other was in 2012 with the Rangers. "I haven't had a ton of bounces go in for me, so it was nice to contribute."

Gostisbehere was tripped by Mikko Koivu with 3:57 left in the first period. His right knee appeared to collide with Koivu's knee, and he landed on his left knee. He played two shifts in the second period, then headed to the locker room.

He was not available to the media after the game.

"It's unfortunate Ghost went down, but hopefully he's back for the next game" on Saturday, Del Zotto said.

Looks like there was speculation that Ghost actually got hurt on the first period penalty where he got tripped. If that's the case, I have to imagine it's not that serious and it was more precautionary than anything since he played quite a bit after that incident. Or maybe I'm just hoping that's the case....

He's like an irrational fan when it comes to the Flyers. He's not a big fan of Couturier either. Couturier & Mason are usually his big targets when going off about the team.

He was a Bryz fan. There's a moment towards the end of the "Road to the Winter Classic" where he's on the ice before the game with Bryz and he gives him a pep-talk.

"If this team wins a cup it's going to be because of you" :help:

So you're calling Read and Umberger the Boanogoods? I expected a biblical verse with the phrase "weeping and gnashing of teeth".
