Nice to see MDZ become the offensive threat he was last year, as well as a solid defensive defenseman. I don't think there's any rush, but they may consider an extension next year, I mean he's becoming what we hope the kids will become, a solid top 4 defenseman with first pairing potential.
MDZ has the raw talent, it was just that he was so inconsistent and defensively irresponsible, but players sometimes mature and blossom. Though I'd want a bigger sample size before I commit real money.
