Last night's win means nothing if we don't get the W tonight. Honestly the Flyers really just need to focus on getting points ....I know it sucks that the B's still got a point but the pace of the top 3 teams in the division is not sustainable imo so the B's imo aren't the only team were chasing.

One will fall back during the last 20 games so keep your head down and just keep getting points and may the chips fall where they will.

It's not like this is a Mcdavid/Matthews draft in which tanking could change the franchise!

Boston is realistically the only team we are chasing. The other top 3 have to go on a major losing streak for us to catch up

Couts has definitely been slowed by the hip injury, normally he dominates every metric for this team.
Lindblom lacks stamina, Patrick is slowly getting it together but has awful puck luck this season.

If Boston manages to simply maintain their season pace, the Flyers will need 30 points to make the playoffs.

That's basically 15-4 over the last 19 games.

This exact same roster, minus Nisky, with the same coach went on a similar tear last season, before things were shut down by Covid. So it’s plausible. Speaking of Covid, I think it’s fair to ask the question of whether more of the players were infected or whether the guys who were are just getting over their lingering effects. The blowouts they went through just didn’t seem to make any sense, in spite of the god awful goaltending.

Yep.

They went 9-1 over their last 10 games, 15-4-1 over their final 20.

Based on everything you've seen of this team so far this season, do you honestly believe they have a 15-4 streak in them while facing Boston, Pittsburgh, Washington, and the Isles for the vast majority of those games?

The good news is that those are 4 point games.

The bad news is that those are 4 point games.

They will play well enough to come close and end up with the 16th pick

I don’t believe they’ll do it, nothing like that seems to be in the cards this season, but they definitely have it in them to do it. They’ve played relatively well against all those teams in recent seasons, minus Boston. If they can pull out a couple wins against Boston this week, who knows. It would be nice to see the Pens shit the bed and be in a 3 way race.

If Hart is back, yes. Because that's how they did it last year. And if Hart is back, Elliott plays once or twice a week, in which case he's a decent backup, anymore and he quickly wears down.
