Didn't help that he was rushed off so quickly, but the contact between skate and leg appeared (to me) to only be glancing. I can't see how he would have sustained a deep cut from that.

I think the whole "getting cut by the skate" just freaks everyone out, especially after what happened to Del Zotto in the previous game
