Said it before, know a guy that plays goal for the locals in the summer, he raves about Nolan’s shot. And he’s seen some good ones.

He has a good snap shot. Maybe a great one. Goalies never pick it up well. But having a good shot is almost meaningless if you can't put yourself in a position to use it consistently. That's the distinction between having a good shot (which many players have) and being a good shooter. He struggles to get himself in good shooting positions off-puck and create enough time/space to shoot it on-puck. He'll get there, but it's more a tease right now.

He needs to learn how to create space for himself to use it more. Real estate is hard to gain in this game especially closer to the net where most of the goals come from now a days.
