Having MacDonald on this team has to make the other defensemen on this team so pissed off. He is not a NHL defenseman anymore. He gets tons of minutes over better players for no reason at all. He blocks talented, younger players from getting valuable experience. He exemplifies the stupidity of this team over that past 5 years. This is blatantly obvious to fans even if all they watch is the Eagles. I am certain the whole team knows it as well. They all like the guy because he's friendly and doesn't check anybody hard in practice. But everybody knows the team is f***ed every time he takes a shift.

personally,

i think Homer would get the brilliant idea of using Hughes to make a big trade for veterans,

maybe something the rights to Hughes for Patrick Kane and Duncan Keith.

Holmgren/Clarke would be the only two idiots who would use a chip like Hughes for a quick fix.
