I'd put some of those turnovers in the, credit to the Islanders category. As a team they are just relentless in their defensive zone. Sticks and bodies clogging the center of the ice, forwards consistently back checking. The Wings in general, were struggling for a good portion of that game.I just watched this and will offer a controversial take. For 2 periods I was so frustrated with Raymond. I’m sick of his turnovers that lead to goals. See similarities with Tatar. Then he absolutely turned it on for the 3rd and OT. He’s still so inconsistent. At his best a real weapon but a lot of stuff I don’t like.
1. Compher
2. Husso
3. Seider
Also, what gives with the team's inability to cover the late man coming back. Seems to me they give these opportunities up more often than the opponent. Are the defensemen pinching inappropriately? Are the forwards failing to back check as well as they should? Combination?
