u guys are accepting mediocrity im sorry so will agree to disagree im for callahan on top line think he can push 65 points KILLORN cannot FLIPPER has proven unworthy stamkos is a 100 point scorer on pace for 70 I want everyone to understand where im coming from.

I get drouin is coming in time. I get some like me like callahan up there. Stamkos has 66 points in 62 games

Callahan has 20 goals and 45 points I believe in 61 games I can live with those numbers
Killorn has 12 goals 33 points in 60 games

Yet we are all accepting of this smh

is ok I guess but will not win the east. I think we can win this league. But we need the more from the top line. The only way I see that is changing bodies. Hope drouin earns way up cause im over killorn if you cannot tell.

its crunch time and time for brass to make the hard decisions and moves we paid a lot to add to this defense on paper with carle back we stack up with everyone but not with killer on top line.

Hes basically a lifetime 0.55 player and we act at times like he is the next coming.

I dont get it but will agree to disagree:)

Killorn currently probably has the best chemistry with Stamkos of any forward imo

I just worry the line won't really be successful without a better puck carrier/distributer on the line. Killorn can do that to an extent but I'd prefer him being the net presense on his line

I rather swap Callahan and Drouin myself, and make a really strong '3rd' line with Callahan and Filppula who are great together. Defensively they're a shutdown duo, offensively they can feast on other teams 3rd pairings since the top matchups will go to TKO and Stamkos line

Guess what? No one in the league is on pace for 100 pts this year. No one in the league is on pace for 90 points this year. Top guys in scoring are on pace for about 80ish points. So Stamkos being 70-80 is about right.

Callahan gets power play time. Killorn doesn't. That's a big difference in their points.

Killorn is improving. He doesn't need to be an 80 point guy and he probably won't ever be. But he plus very well with Stamkos and is a big smart hockey player with enough skills to keep up with him.

Killorn is getting PP time also. Killorn has been on the top unit with Stamkos as of late. Just to add Cally had 56 secs of PP time last night, Killorn had almost 2 mins of PP time.

Callahan played 192 minutes on PP over 60 games
Killorn played 103 minutes on PP over 57 games

Killorn gets PP time but it's barely the half of Cally's ice-time.

Killorn has only been getting PP as of late. And the numbers below are more to my point.

Even if Killorn was getting more PP time do you really think he is going to produce that much more?

Cally is a PP specialist one of the better in the league. Killorn has gotten a fair amount of time on the PP, but only has like 2 points on it. He just is not good on the PP.

I know you were getting at the ES numbers. Killorn's and Cally's ES numbers have been pretty close, I know +/- is a flawed stat but they both have a +7 this season going back up and down from the 3rd line. I think that is one of the telling tales. They have both been very solid at ES, which is likely why they are both on the top line right now and are clicking. Flip has struggled a little at ES this season. If Cally is going to be demoted to the 3rd line, want to see Killorn back down there as well, so we get that KFC line together. The line of Paquette - Flip - Callahan was meh.

Right now, I just prefer to keep those guys on the top line for now since it's been clicking and all three have been playing very well.

Killorn is the reason the top line is working right now. He's driving that line with his hustle and big body plays on the puck. He has just enough passing ability to find Stamkos once loose pucks are retrieved by either him or Cally.

Killorn is the guy leading the zone cycling, not Stamkos and not Cally. The problem with Killorn is he hasn't been able to sustain this kind of "legs always moving" play for extended periods of time. This is why he's been a tweener. If he can consistently play like he's been playing, knocking people off pucks, protecting the puck and setting up cycle plays down low for his Rink Ninja™ to get open, he'll have progressed beyond what many thought he'd ever be capable of.

Killorn works very well with Callahan because it seems as if the hustle is contagious. KFC was a fantastic line as well for shutting people down.

Guess I missed Coburn getting in a fight last game.. Just saw it on a replay. How did he do? I know he took a penalty really late that could have been bad.

Doesn't hurt that Stamkos is finally getting his game together. Killorn has been driving possession, IMO, acting sort of like a Palat on the wall. But Stamkos is finally making crisper passes, and when he steps into the middle he's creating havoc rather than just instantly turning the puck over.

Agreed. Complimentary players get **** on sometimes. Palat is the king of complimentary players in my opinion. Nothing stands out to you when you isolate him solely, but everyone wants him on their wing because he does everything right almost all of the time. If we can get another winger to play like Palat, we're ****ing golden. Every single team needs as many Palat's as possible.
