Edmonton
Blues tie up games after game after being down, Avs dominates the last 5 minutes of the game and can't buy a goal. Just not meant to be.

Thought the Hart might be MacKinnon's even if the Avs might barely miss the playoffs. 1 goal for the top line and going 1-0-3 in the last week probably lost him the Hart and the playoffs.

Thank you, philly.

Honestly I'd like to see Colorado make the playoffs but I really wanna see the blues with the first wildcard.

Avs all of a sudden struggling to score goals doesn't surprise me. This happens when you are a 1 line team. That line gets shut down or goes cold, your team is not going to score many.

They definitely need to start going in but I don't think anyone can be that upset with their effort tonight, well at least the last part of it. The Flyers played a tight game and the Avs came within inches a few times of tying it. The Avs still play L.A., Anaheim and St. Louis so they are far from 'done'. They definitely haven't made it easy on themselves but there's still some hockey to be played.

Oh dear god, the Knights just lost at home to Phoenix.

Maybe San Jose IS gonna steal the division title after VGK has led since day 1 ala Colorado/Vancouver 2003.

IIRC Philly winning means the Leafs/Caps have yet to clinch

correct. caps can clinch tomorrow with any of the following

Penguins beats the Devils (in reg or ot)
Panthers loses to the Senators (in reg or ot)
Panthers beats the Senators in a shootout
Blue Jackets loses to the Flames in regulation

the leafs can clinch if:
if and only if pens beat devils in regulation

Avs are proof that a one line team isn't good enough, no matter how good your one line is. eventually it'll go cold and that's that

5 points back with 5 games remaining. I doubt they can take the division at this point.

2 big swing games coming up.

Sharks at Nashville, your Blues visit Vegas.

It could hypothetically be 3 points back with 4 to go.

I mean that's true but at the same time it could just as easily sway the other way.

Best case scenario Nashville wins in regulation and St. Louis wins in ot.
