I was at work tonight and it looks like I missed a Game of the Year candidate. Huge win. Still a lot of work left to do.

Also, after watching the goals, I'm not sure how you can blame Vasi for any but the 1st. It is a star player taking that shot, but getting that much of it means you have to stop it. 2nd was Kane all alone and Sustr defending the right faceoff circle. 3rd was a poor clear by Hedman and a crazy bounce to Jurco. 4th was Panik beating not one but TWO (edit: Vermin was actually standing right there too. 3 defenders...) of our defenders to the net to get his own rebound.

Good on him to shut the door in the 3rd and give the team a chance to win it. Good on the boys for waking up and giving Vasi a break.

If only the coaching staff could get the team to play with intensity and desperation before every game is do or die.

Got lost in the comeback but did Greg "The Keg" Mckegg have a great game or what? Pretty good footspeed and great puck protection, been awhile since we've had a 4th liner who's willing to carry and drive the puck to the net like he did multiple times tonight.

Part of why our 4th line sucks is because they dump the puck and crash the net but no one actually puts the puck on net, they did that a ton tonight.

Mckegg and Gourde pushed the pace nearly every time they were on in the 2nd. Gourde has a roster spot locked down for next year as far as I'm concerned.

Brown is useless, Dumont is a plug.

Agreed except for Dumont. Sure I wish he'd score more often or provide some more chances but I think he's been great. Certainly an upgrade over Paquette given he's a bit quicker. If he finds ways to score, he will be just fine. He brings the body on the forehead every shift. Good player.

Edit: I meant forecheck but that autocorrect was too good to delete. Lmao.

That was an awesome comeback! Kucherov hit his 80th point and Hedman is now tied with Hamrlik for the franchise record. I don't know how I can comment here while watching since my laptop is not in a good shape right now. But I will be watching all the remaining games, that's for damn sure.

Being better than Paquette doesn't mean he's not a plug.

Watched the rest of the game in the morning, went to sleep while the game was 1-3... what a crazy comeback. Playoff race with this lineup is just nerve wrecking :phew:

Mckegg was flying last night indeed, he was noticeable. What Dumont brings to the table is that he's huge a face-off specialist, an useful asset comes playoffs time, but we're not there yet.

Too bad Vermin is going to Europe next season. This one I never understood. Everytime he's up with the big club he's playing very solid IMO. Yet he's not in our plans. Then again, maybe he wants more than a 3rd/4th line role...

If you use Chrome use AdBlocker Plus - free and amazing. Every time I load this site ... it blocks between 15 and 20 ads on every page load.

Vermin has a NHL out clause I believe.

These ads are even on my phone. I don't know what's going on but I don't appreciate 1/8 of my screen being blocked by this ad I cannot possibly get rid of. I'll definitely be looking into that Ad Blocker program

Edit: I owe you a drink Wolf. Bellator MMA looks like promotion but if I had to close that ad again for the 10th time this morning I was gonna lose it.

Anyone else find amusement in seeing fans in Chicago jerseys cheering when we score a goal?

This is gonna sound awful but I got a kick out of their reaction to the Gourde OT winner

It's amazing how transient the Tampa Bay area is still even today. I'm willing to be there must've been a good 9,000 Hawks fans in Amalie Arena last night and at least 7,000 live locally and just mark their calendar for the night the Hawks are in town. No offense but you're not gonna convince me that many people made this mass exodus from out of state when the Panthers game didn't even sell out over the weekend with all the Hawks fans at it.

Canadian fanbases on the other hand? Yes, that I can buy. Because by all accounts I've heard that it's effectively cheaper and easier to catch a flight to Tampa for their game than it is to see it in their own town.

Plus all the snowbirds down here during the winter.
