This. Might have been the most blatantly biased officiating yet. Definitely was NOT "bad for both teams."

Two points. Not bad when we're playing the guys in white and the guys wearing stripes. What a ********* display by the refs this game.

As far as I'm concerned Bishop got a shutout. A lot of really good defensive play tonight. Drouin had a particularly good game. Hedman was solid. The 4th line did some good things (minus the goal). Still too sloppy and the PP is garbage. Not a bad game though.

Solid win tonight. Palat comes back and quietly picks up two assists by doing what he does--winning board battles.
Refs were a little bit baffling tonight. The wings were getting away with a lot of obstruction pretty much all night long. We got away with a couple of things too (Morrow high-sticked a guy right in front of a ref). But particularly baffling was the Smith on Namestnikov hit. That thing was borderline suspension-worthy.

Not sure how any impartial person could watch that game, particularly the 3rd period, and say that the officiating was anything but biased. The Red Wings got gifted with some hilariously awful no calls. Vladdy was boarded with a cross check and it drew blood. That's a 5min Major, period.
Smith should have sat for 5minutes.
Kronwall with the clothesline on Filppula was uncalled as well, clear interference. Stralman tackled at center ice leading to scoring chance and then Hedman gets boarded. Couldn't believe the **** they let go at the end.

The no call on the Namestnikov board was a ****ing joke. Knew we had to beat the refs too at that point. Makes me wonder how we'll fare in the playoffs if we can't even get those calls in our house during the regular season.
The refs were letting everything go. Detroit just took full advantage of it. We probably could have gotten away with stuff as well, and we did. We just didn't go all out 1995 NJ Devils the way they did.

Except a suspension-worthy board that leaves a giant welt on a guy's face and him spitting blood and another holding the stick where the TB player flies 2 feet in the air are much more noticeable/egregious than an accidental high stick.
Putting the whistles away unless calls are obvious is one thing. What happened in the 3rd was unacceptable.
