No trades on day 1. I am throwing it out to the field to guess which players are traded for picks on day 2 that some had valued in the first round.

My picks:

Pacioretty-2nd and prospect
Skinner-2nd and prospect.
Faulk-2-2nds

I would love to trade Filip Johansson and one of our three thirds for a mid second.

I am sure Canes fans will lose their mind and it might switch to prospect and 2nd for the respective team, but I think that is closer to his value currently. The islanders killed it today. MVP of the draft imo.
I think it's close between isles and wings

For those Homer fans who overvalue their players, tommorrow the proof will be in the pudding. I am throwing it out to the field to guess which players go for picks tommorrow that homers had over valued in the first round.

My picks:

Pacioretty-2nd and prospect
Skinner-2nd and prospect.
Faulk-2-2nds

Tatar got us 1st, 2nd and a 3rd, and all three of those players you named have quite a bit more value than Tatar had or has.

Over the past 2 years the following players (as the focal point) were traded for at least a first round pick.
Tatar
Kane
Stastny
Hartman
Nash
Brassard
Duchene
Hamonic
R.Reaves
B.Schenn
Shattenkirk
Hanzal
F.Andersen
Ladd

Many of these players were dealt at a trade deadline as ufas playing only a handful of games with their teams. Many of these player retuned a first round plus other assets.

From looking at all those examples, you're telling me Patch, Skinner and Faulk can't return at least a first round pick even though they have one or two years left on good contracts? Is that a joke?

I'd give up those awful packages for anyone of those guys in a heartbeat. That would be brutally overrating picks.

For the love of god, stop saying Reaves was traded for a 1st.

The only way Skinner or Faulk get moved for a 2nd+prospect is if someone’s also taking Darling with no retention. Otherwise there’s absolutely no reason for us to do that.
