I'll definitely try to make this one, whenever it is. Unfortunately I had family in town coinciding with the first one and they're not exactly what you would call sports fans.

if you mean threatening to leave the country, i guess... although i don't think texans ever take it as seriously as the quebec people do.

as i understand it, alberta has lots of oil, its citizens are generally more conservative, and there are actual cowboys and stuff (re: calgary saddledome).

Wow, that's terrible. okay back to Saturday. If we pick far enough in advance I can probably work it out.

I always prefer to see the Eastern and especially Canadian teams, so my first choice would be Montreal. Far enough into the season to know how they truly stack up and you can begin to see who's for real as far as prospects go too.
