Makes sense, East is already set. West won’t be set for another couple days.
Suppose so, yea. The last west match up could potentially be unknown until the last game of the season ends.

This looks right. Vancouver doesn't start until Tuesday and I wonder if Dallas won't either.

Early guess for games 1-4 schedule:

Monday:
Leafs/Bruins game 2 - Celtics play Sunday so their game 2 should be Tuesday/Wednesday
Lightning/Panthers game 2
Avs/Jets game 1
Oilers series game 1

Tuesday:
Caps/Rangers game 2 - Knicks play Saturday so their game 2 could be Monday
Isles/Hurricanes game 2
Dallas series game 1
Vancouver series game 1

Wednesday:
Avs/Jets game 2
Oilers series game 2

Thursday:
Bruins/Leafs game 3
Panthers/Lightning game 3
Dallas series game 2
Vancouver series game 2

Friday:
Rangers/Caps game 3
Hurricanes/Isles game 3
Jets/Avs game 3
Oilers series game 3

Saturday:
Bruins/Leafs game 4
Panthers/Lightning game 4
Dallas series game 3
Vancouver series game 3

Sunday:
Rangers/Caps game 4
Hurricanes/Isles game 4
Jets/Avs game 4
Oilers series game 4

Monday:
Dallas series game 4
Vancouver series game 4

I expect isles-canes game 4 to be on Saturday 4/27. UBS moved PWHL game from Saturday to Sunday (4/28)afternoon a few days back, presumably for that reason.

Such a weird situation all the east games are done today, west games all done by Thursday.

Why they couldn't just do all East start Saturday, all west start Sunday.

The NHL and NBA having same buildings and season schedules is always a problem.

Lightning played Florida during 2nd round not long ago, they finished 4th game of their series before some teams were just starting 2nd game of their series. This kind of time difference should not be happening so soon into playoffs, and it caused Lightning to have like a 9+ day break until ECF's before playing Rangers. Lightning looked cold to the bone at start ECF series. Some teams handle layoffs better than others, Lightning are not one of those teams.
The Rangers didn't have any break going into that series and ran out of gas after game 2.

Since ESPN & TNT dictate both league's schedules, it's really up to them.
Normally the basketball games are scheduled first since NHL OT games can go on forever, vs NBA OT games that will still end in not too much time.

I'm only referring to when the NBA/NHL teams play on the same day.

Would rather have 2 East games then 2 West games every day instead of just East games one day, then just West games on another. Especially in the first round, and staggered starts (like 30 mins - one at 7:00 , the other at 7:30)

What do you mean?

ESPN has Sunday Night Baseball, they were never getting that slot. NHL knew what was available, even if it wasn't formally announced.
before ESPN got a hold of the NHL rights. When it was NBC NHL usually did Sunday afternoon games.
