Also of note, in its press release about the preliminary roster, the ÖEHV says Thursday's game against Hungary is taking place in St. Pölten where the team is gathered and won't make the trip to Budapest before Saturday.

So the Austrian squad arrived in Budapest yesterday. I am always amazed when an organisation has a complete lack of internal communication and fact checking and makes contradictory statements days apart.

Final roster for Austria

There hasn't been any official announcements but there were 2 replacements on the French team due to injuries with Dmen Nathan Cal and Raphaël de Graca Brites taking over from Léo Faure and Noa Goncalves-Nivelais before leaving France.

In terms of broadcasting, Hungary and Kazakhstan will have their game shown on TV in their respective countries (Sport TV 1 for Hungary and InSport TV for Kazakhstan) while Austrian ones will be available on live.eishockey.at for a fee. I didn't see anything else at the moment.

Kazakh games are usually available on their federation's YT channel unless restricted.

As far as I can tell there is no stream anywhere, seems like it's a pretty equal game with with France having a slight edge.

Hard to say without seeing the game but having Keller on the team does elevate its level. Sad Neckar is not here due to injuries because the back ups don't have the level. So Keller is going to have a long week for sure. The end of the game does not reassure for sure. Anyway I wouldn't bet on France being higher than 3rd if all goes well.

While Keller is good, Danes seemed to be outplayed on the ice. If the consensus is that France is only aiming for a mid-table spot, that tells a lot about Danes who were thought to have a good shot at promotion.

Better than the French, definitely. But I never could see the Danes having a shot for top spot. For me, I would pick Kazakhstan and maybe Austria. But that's only my opinion.

So Denmark can actually drop down to 3rd tier of junior hockey?
Norway has been there so it's not completely unthinkable but I don't see them being relegated this year, they survived the last few years with worse teams, this one shouldn't have too much problem winning against Japan in a must-win game if it comes to that.

Well I hope for their sake they are planning for more than a single win. Better be safe than sorry in case the IIHF council makes a certain decision comes March (not that I see it happening yet as I'm writing this).

Did they play the Borat one?

On a more serious note, this Kazakh team will be solid next year, almost everyone's an underager, only a couple of key players are 04s.

Hungary pulling their goalie 2:20 into the game vs. Japan, after giving up 2 goals on 2 shots.

Hungary allows a last-minute goal 2nd game in a row, costing them at least 3 points. Got to feel for the guys.
